Theatre Workshop Coulsdon is always delighted to welcome new members, aged 15 or over.

If you’d like to share your talent and enthusiasm with us, you can drop into the Coulsdon Community Centre, Barrie Close (just off Chipstead Valley Road) on any Monday or Wednesday evening. We’re normally there from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. Would-be actors and stage crew, musicians, volunteers to assist with wardrobe, sets, front of house, and so on, are all very welcome – experienced or otherwise, but it’s probably worth messaging us in advance just to make sure we’re around and able to introduce you properly.

Open auditions tend to take place in September for our Christmas production, in early January for our Spring production and in late March or early April for our open air Summer spectacular. They’re quite informal, with no requirement to learn any audition piece ahead of time or anything so daunting. So why not come along and give us a try? Even if you’ve missed the audition, every production has a number of Sundays allocated for set-building, costume creation, prop-making and so on. If you’re interested you can come down and see us as we put the show together, talk to us, see how we work, find out if we’re the right group for you.

Fame does have a cost, of course. A subscription is due for any member who takes part as an actor on stage in a show. Those behind the scenes do not have to pay.
